You are cordially invited to attend the monthly organizational meeting of the Catholic War Veterans. We meet the fourth Wednesday of every month at the American Legion Post # 36 on Victory Drive in Thunderbolt at 7:00 PM.
Who We Are
IN BRIEF:
The local chapter of the Catholic War Veterans Post 1943 was founded and chartered in 2005. The Catholic War Veterans of The United States of America, Inc. was founded in 1935 and Congressionally Chartered in 1984 The National headquarters is located in Alexandria, Virginia.
PURPOSE:
CWV joins the other organized groups to guard the rights and privileges of ALL veterans. CWV's goals include the protection of all our freedoms. CWV's service programs help those that are sick and disabled and care for our hospitalized veterans. The Catholic War Veterans are dedicated to a program of veterans service.
ACCREDITED:
The catholic War Veterans of the United States of America is congressionally chartered and its Service Officers are accredited to the Department of Veterans Affairs. CWV is authorized to represent veterans and advance their claims to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Qualifications for Membership are:
US Citizen
Served or are serving in the US Armed Forces
Catholic

Savannah Celebrates the Greatest Generation
Donations made to the Veterans Council of Chatham county benefit everyone! We are now accepting donations for the new World War II monument that is to be installed on River Street. Remember, all donations made the the Veterans Council of Chatham County are tax deductible!
Bricks can be purchased for inclusion in the WWII Memorial to be located on River Street in downtown Savannah, GA.
